I celebrated Halloween until about five years ago. I decorated my house and yard. I took my children trick-or- treating. I invited my family over for Halloween parties with holiday décor, scary music, creepy movies, soup & sandwiches, and lots of Halloween candies. I also had a Halloween birthday party for my older daughter one year. I always thought it was fun, and I enjoyed Halloween Town, The Nightmare Before Christmas, and many of the scary movies. Occasionally, I met people who didn’t celebrate, but they never really gave me details on why. So, I kept enjoying carving jack-o-lanterns, sitting beside skeletons, and filling cauldrons with foods, until I started following Global Vision Bible Church.
On October 14th of 2021 I learned why Pastor Locke told Halloween to go to hell. Halloween (All Hallows' Day) means holy night to the devil, and it is the MOST celebrated holiday by devil worshippers. On Halloween all countries celebrate the dead. Anton LaVey, the founder of the Church of Satan, said: I am glad that Christian parents let their children worship the devil at least one night out of the year, on Halloween.
Halloween's origins go back over 2,000 years to the Celtic festival of Samhain, with bonfires, feasts, and rituals. They believed that during this time spirits walked, and evil held power over the souls of men. Their bonfires were used for animal and human sacrifices. During the festival, people dressed up in costumes and masks to scare off the evil spirits so they wouldn’t be possessed.
Celtic priests hollowed out turnips or potatoes (jack-o-lanterns) and carved evil faces on them. Then they went to homes and asked the fathers to surrender one of their children as a human sacrifice or their virgin daughter to be raped by demons. If he did, they would leave the burning jack-o-lantern on the porch as the family’s treat. The jack-o-lantern would tell the demons that this home has surrendered a child for sacrifice, so the remaining people inside were to be left alone. If the father refused to surrender one of his children, a trick (some say a pentagram) would be placed outside the house to attract the demons.
Nothing good happens on Halloween. It is the most dangerous holiday of the year and is celebrated by demons, witches, wiccans, and pagans. Halloween candy that you buy is often prayed over by witches. Watching Halloween movies, reading the books, wearing the costumes, displaying the decorations, attending parties, and trick-or-treating are all ways of inviting evil into your life. I no longer participate in any Halloween activities, and there are no items related to Halloween in my home.
God doesn’t want us supporting Satan in any way; Halloween is worshipping Satan. “And saith unto him, All these things will I give thee, if thou wilt fall down and worship me. Then saith Jesus unto him, Get thee hence, Satan: for it is written, Thou shalt worship the Lord thy God, and him only shalt thou serve.” Matthew 4:9-10. We are commanded to separate from evil and darkness. The Bible says not to involve yourself in wickedness or in dark magic. "Wherefore come out from among them, and be ye separate, saith the Lord, and touch not the unclean thing; and I will receive you." 2 Corinthians 6:17
